Valid Passport

Required

Must have 6+ months validity beyond your intended stay. Ensure at least 2 blank pages.

Visa Application Form

Required

Complete in English or Japanese. Use black ink. No corrections or white-out allowed.

Certificate of Eligibility (COE)

Required

Original COE issued by Japan Immigration. Must be submitted within 3 months of issuance.

Passport Photos

Required

4.5cm × 4.5cm, white background, taken within 6 months. No glasses, no hats, neutral expression.

Acceptance Letter from Nihongozu

Required

Official letter confirming your enrollment. We provide this after registration.

Proof of Financial Support

Required

Bank statements (6 months), sponsor letter, or scholarship proof. Minimum ¥2,000,000 recommended.

Academic Transcripts

Official transcripts from your most recent educational institution. Translated if not in English/Japanese.

Statement of Purpose

Why you want to study in Japan, your goals, and how this program helps your career.

Health Certificate

Some embassies require a medical certificate. Check with your local Japanese embassy.

JLPT Certificate

If you have JLPT N5-N1 certification, include it. Strengthens your application.

Photo Specifications

Use a professional photo studio. Specify: Japan visa photo, 4.5cm × 4.5cm, white background.

Document Order

Arrange documents in the order listed on the embassy checklist. Use paper clips, not staples.

Translations

All non-English/Japanese documents must be translated by a certified translator.

Copies

Submit originals where required. Keep photocopies of everything for your records.

Bank Statements

Must be stamped and signed by the bank. Online printouts may not be accepted.

Application Form

Print single-sided only. Fill in all fields — write 'N/A' if not applicable.
